Can't stand your dog's breath? Is Fido having trouble eating? Then it’s high time to check for dog teeth problems and figure out how you can help your beloved friend.
It’s only natural for us humans to brush our teeth on a daily basis. Strangely enough, most of us hardly ever think about Fido’s teeth though. As if our there's no such thing as dog teeth problems. But did you know that by the age of 3, about 80% of all dogs have one or more dog teeth problems?
Time to take action into your own hands, your dog deserves it. More importantly, brushing dog teeth can increase your dog's lifespan and even save your dog’s life.
Not brushing your dog’s teeth means bacteria will start festering in the plaque and tartar buildup (you know, the icky brown stuff on his teeth). Left untreated these bacteria will compromise your dog’s immune system. This leads the way to dangerous infections, which can shorten or even threaten your dog’s life. Especially if your pooch has other health problems, like a heart disease or kidney problems, he won’t have enough energy to battle the infection caused by his teeth.
Now you're probably wondering how you can help your furry friend. It's not that difficult, not even that much work. Just brush your dog’s teeth about 3 times a week. That’s right, dogs don’t need daily brushing the way humans do. The sooner you start the better. If the teeth are already showing a buildup of plaque and tartar, let a vet take care of it professionally and then commit to taking care of your dog’s dental hygiene.
