Don't Let Your Daily Deals Expire

Daily Internet deals are good ideas for many reasons. People can save a lot of money by using them. Companies over the internet sell them knowing that a lot of people that purchase Groupons and other deals will never actually use all of them. People may even forget about them until after they have already expired. There are a few sites out there that will give you refunds if you do not use them in time, but most of the time you are warned when you purchase them. You have a time limit, and you can use them or lose them. 30% of Groupons end up expiring. Once people start noticing this, then they become upset. It is important that people are told upfront that they have a time limit to use the daily internet deals.

Groupon now has a smart phone app that lets members know their offer is nearing expiration. All daily internet deals should do this. If people are buying from you, like with Woot's service, then you probably will not lose their business. However if you are offering restaurant vouchers, then you may lose business if someone tries to use it and can not. Be sure that you make it known from the start, that you are offering deals for particular dates. Let customers know exactly how and when they should use their deals. That way there is no confusion or hard feelings later on. Sending out an email close to the time that the deal is about to run out is a good idea too. That will leave everything else up to the customer. Many people will probably still not use the deal, but they can not be mad at you either. They had plenty of warning. You can make good money this way.
