Don’t Fear A Move To Hosted Exchange

So you are considering a move to Hosted Exchange but, for some reasons, you fear to take the plunge. The common objections that our prospects are mentioning with regards to moving to a Hosted Exchange solutions are:

• They are afraid that they will lose some of their data during the process
• They think that the move will cost them an arm and a leg
• They expect it will involve a too much technical stuff that they won’t be able (or don’t want ) to cope with

Depending on your configuration and your own choices, we can consider the following options:

- Do it the “drag and drop” way. This approach is adequate if you want to only move some of your e-mails to our Hosted Exchange. Let’s say for example that you’ll be travelling for two weeks, then you can move to our hosted exchange the last two or three months of e-mails you’ve been working on. Not only will this allow you to have an easy access to your e-mails, but you’ll also get all your e-mails on your in-house server once you come back.

- Do it the “FTP” way. This option is more appropriate for corporate clients who have a large amounts of data to move. We call this option “the Giacom migration service” and it’s available to our premium mailbox users. This services comes in handy when you want to move a whole PST file (that may contain months or years of e-mail).
