Dont Bank On A Good Holiday If You Do It On The Cheap. Part 1.

Having travelled to Majorca, I think there are one or two things to think about prior to heading off. I know that bargain flight seemed like a really excellent idea but when your going through thermals in a little passenger plane where when you move the people in ahead of you and behind you groan I think its worth thinking again. The entire reason of going on holiday is attempting to chill out but as soon as you try to cut corners you start to pile on the stress.

I digress, back to the trip, we landed in Majorca and get walloped by the wave of heat that comes thumping into the plane like a wall, and come to realise just how quickly you can get over-heated by standing still at night when not acclimatised. As we pondered the other passengers walk through the departure area and onto their different coaches, we realised that a hire car when you don’t know, where you are going isnt necesarrily the brightest. A couple of later we are still driving around roads that appear to be all back to front and starting to regret getting on a plane.

We finally reach what in the brochure seemed like, it must be a lovely hotel by the description and star rating and discover it is an old multi storie with one lift and one fire route eg. The main stairs (a smoke funnel if ever I saw one in the case of a fire). Making our way up to our apartment past a supervisor that we struggled to communicate with we braved the elevator with our baggage (as at this point we were fairly tired) and made our way to our apartment.

Our apartment was a small affair, with its own mini vault, and what seemed like central heating, as all we could do for what was left of the was lie there and sweat. And this was just the beginning of the holiday.
