Doubts About Intensity Optics Rifle Scopes?
Founded out of Onalaska, WI, Intensity Optics was started in early 2007 and had it's first rifle scope product available on the market by mid-2007. Ever since then, Intensity Optics has silently gained a grip within the more affordable scope selling prices of $75 to $125. This is the market place that also includes well-known brands such as Simmons, the now defunct Tasco, Barska, and NCStar. Even though the specific details are not known, the Intensity Optics scopes are thought to be created within the same Philippines manufacturing facility that makes the Simmons line, and a number of the less expensive Nikon scope collection. Many veteran hunters and shooters compare the Intensity Optics collection to the older, discontinued Simmons 44 Mag line of scopes. A side by side comparison seems to validate that line of thinking because the Intensities appear to be a rebadged 44 Mag scope. This is a good thing as the Simmons 44 Mag series was quite popular for it's price range and amount of performance. It was among Simmons most successful rifle scope versions. At the time of this writing, Intensity Optics was selling 5 versions inside the following configurations: 2.8-10x44mm 3-10x44mm 3.8-12x44mm AO 4-12x44mm AO 6.5-20x44mm AO Only the 2.8-10 and 3-10 versions do not feature an adjustable objective. There has also been some suggestions from ATK that they may possibly enlarge the Intensity Optics line in the foreseeable future to incorporate some additional configurations.
