There are plenty of people who avoid drinking caffeinated coffee, believing it could lead to all sorts of negative health effects. The fact of the matter is that recent studies have shown that a moderate amount of coffee could actually benefit you by reducing your overall risk of some serious illnesses and diseases. Really most people who drink coffee do so because they want to stay awake, feel more energy and go longer without a nap. Although this research shows some great health benefits there are still some negative affects that coffee can cause if you drink too much. The key is drinking coffee in moderation and reducing exposure to other substances that could increase your risk of coronary heart disease.
In addition to the potential health impact of drinking coffee there are also a few beauty effects that should be considered. Drinking coffee on a regular basis can cause teeth to become brown, stained, or even yellowed. Coffee also has a dehydrating effect on the body, which can lead to dry skin. The first visible symptom of dry skin is often wrinkles or lines in the hands and face. Dehydrated or dry skin also leads to the appearance of new stretch marks or causes existing stretch marks to be more visible against the skin.
Don't get so caught up in the positive health benefits of drinking coffee that you forget to pay attention to the potential downside.
