Earthquake Survivors In Haiti Receive Aid From Cydcor
Outreach a way of life Giving donations to Haiti was nothing out of the ordinary for Cydcor. The company’s culture focuses on community outreach and volunteering, and employees were happy to find something that they could do to help the victims of the recent earthquake in Haiti. In about a week the company was able to fill 25 large boxes with clothing, shoes, and other supplies to send. Humbled by tragedy According to Vera Quinn, the senior vice president of operations at Cydcor, the entire company has been humbled by the tragedy affecting the small country and wanted to do something to help. Employees were more than willing to bring in donations to send to the men, women, and children recovering from the terrible earthquake. Connections to Haiti Prior to the devastation, Cydcor employees already had ties to Haiti. One of the owners of an independently owned and operated sales office was already doing work in Haiti through Haiti Gospel Mission. Thanks to the owner’s connection, Cydcor was able to find out about the specific needs of the country and what their organization could do to help. Since then, Cydcor has made the Haiti Gospel Mission a part of its community. The company has made plans to continue to remain in contact with the charity so that it can continue supporting recovery efforts in the country. You can find out more about Cydcor’s efforts in Haiti and with other charitable organizations by following them on Facebook or Twitter.
