Easy Affiliate Marketing Tips On How To Pick A Product To Sell On My Blog

In this article we are going to take a quick look at how you should go about picking a product for your blog. So many people I see start a new blog with big buck aspirations, only to find themselves swimming in a sea of confusion about what to sell once it's up. The days of simply slapping AdSense or yahoo ads on your blog and raking in the big bucks are LONG over...and those who DON'T have a simple and efficient strategy for selling stuff on their sites are doomed to the ignominious fate of NEVER making ANY real money for all their efforts. Very simply! The first rule is the rule of 1. The very BEST strategy is to pick ONE product to sell on your affiliate blog and build the entire site around that one offer. Simply trying to stuff every possible 125 pixel ad that you can fit in your sidebar is silly, and simply NOT profitable. Ever hear the old story about the movie theater with too many exits? Give people too many options to exit a crowded theatre in an emergency...and panic ensues. Options breed confusion, whereas a straight path is conducive to desciveness. It's true here as well. If you give people TOO many options, invariably they'll choose nothing. With blogs being SO easy to build these days with free tools and publishing platforms, you can literally build 5 solid, white hat sites a day ALL with red hot converting offers that are DIRECTLY related to the content you create for each.

Hmmm....sounds interesting, but I'm not sure I understand? What is the point of creating a separate site for each?

Good questions! The key is segmentation and specificity. A dating site blog set up to sell JUST Match.com for example, will do VERY well in the search engines, with VERY specific article marketing campaigns, with press releases, etc. It will also do FAR better with PPC ( of course check trademark bidding rules for brand names) The more SPECIFIC you are, the more SEGMENTED you can make your content, the HIGHER your conversions are going to be....and this is a SIMPLE fact that is overlooked by 90% of the bloggers out there. Remember, you can ALWAYS repurpose your content around alternate offers as well, but that will be another article for another time..:-)
