Echo Trimmers: Choosing The Right Shaft

The reason why Echo USA has been a renowned leader in the production and manufacturing of outdoor power equipment is no doubt because of their excellent products. For over 30 years, Echo has been supplying consumers with professional grade power tools of first class quality without the unaffordable price tag. Although Echo USA remains one of the top manufacturers of power tools in the world today, it wasn’t until they signed a contract with Home Depot in 1994 to sell their products that they gained mainstream recognition and exposure. Offering a great selection of manufactured power tools, Echo USA is widely popular for their unique trimmer heads, built to complement their quality line of trimmer shafts.

A reason why I personally would recommend Echo trimmers over their competition is because of their trimmer head design that produces both effective and efficient cutting for whatever the user’s needs. The popular Speed Feed Head is probably the most common trimmer head used with Echo trimmers. This head uses an innovative “bump to advance” system that dramatically decreases the time spent to reload the line. Reload times can take as little as 30 seconds!

Their combinations of trimmer heads and shafts are built for all jobs regardless of whether you need it for commercial or residential use. The shafts of Echo trimmers are known to be extremely durable and light. Echo USA decided to build the shafts with a light-weight steel to ensure the trimmer does not get too heavy for their users. In addition, the light metal of the shaft improves acceleration to provide better trimming. So, which type of Echo trimmer shaft is right for you?

There are two types of trimmer shafts that are produced by Echo: curved and straight shafts. Recommended for residential use, the curved shaft is slightly bent to make it perfect for hard to reach areas such as corners and parts around a fence. On the other hand, the straight shaft is recommended for commercial use in large areas because of its extended reach. Although Echo provided these recommendations for their trimmers, it does not matter too much which shaft is used. For example, if you feel more comfortable using a straight shaft for personal use, then a straight shaft will do a great job on your home as well. No matter which type of shaft you choose, all Echo trimmer shafts will deliver the performance and quality you are searching for.

Overall, the Echo trimmers are built with such quality that it is no surprise how successful this company has become. The only way to understand why so many people have used and continued to use Echo trimmers is to try one out for yourself.
