Electric Motorcycles: Economical, Ecological And Effortless

Cyclists all around the country are being seduced by a new addictive driving experience - street legal electric motorcycles. These bikes are not only economical, with their less than $.01 per mile cost to operate, but they offer a fast, sleek, and nimble drive. Riders will enjoy the electric motorcycle’s high-performance ride and benefit from its quiet motor and ecological emission.

Lightning fast, sleek design
Electric motorcycles really take off. Their ninja sleek demeanor allows the rider to stop at traffic lights without making a noise and take off stealthily in an instant.

Riders of the Zero X electric motorcycle report that its light-weight exterior promises a quicker and easier ride while aggressively exploring new terrains. They’re light enough to lean on just about anything and yet sturdy enough to withstand normal wear and tear.

No more tune-ups
Electric motorcycles do not require frequent tune ups, carb flushes or fluid changes. Even if you can’t ride for months, you can keep the power pack plugged in and your bike will be ready to go whenever you are.

Bikes such as the Enertia use six Lithium batteries that provide a long lifecycle and added safety. These six individual batteries are in constant communication with each other along with the Battery Management System. This system serves as a “big brother” function making sure all the battery levels and temperatures are in check.

Financing your new electric motorcycle
To give you an idea on pricing, the new Zero DS test-driven by Jay Leno’s Garage is just under $10K and the Enertia comes standard for around $12K.

Whatever electric bike fills your needs, there is a way to finance one with the 2009 federal tax credit. A 10% tax credit is available through December 31, 2009 and is subject to income limitations. So the upscale Ecosse Titanium series motorcycle for $275K will most likely not qualify for this credit.
