Audience in L . A . falls in love with a captivating musical journey: Emilys Song

Recently, showgoers came across the powerful story of Emily, through the performances of Lindsey Haun (Emily Everson), Tom Schmid (Charlie) along with Darcy Rose Byrnes (Young Emily). The thought of this great scenario popped-up to Chet Holmes, director and dramatist, soon after handling a dangerous episode of his own. It was then revealed to him what amount of the well-being of his kids would have differed in the event that he were unexpectedly not close by ever again. This fearful reflection encouraged him to write the one hundred acts play in just a couple of weeks.

The impressive story made a special feeling on its patrons not to mention experts too, with thanks to the perfect vocal performances as well as plot turns. The audience lives every single instant with Emily, these people understand her troubles, they agonize with her and find great contentment the minute she finally fulfills her visions, falls in love with an excellent man and is rejoined with her dad.

This vivid play impressed the viewers to such a degree that a viewer, Gerald (68) had to reveal: "I was so moved, I actually had to wipe tears from my face. And I don't cry, ever. It was a really joyous ending". Others were convinced with the premium quality of the adventure as soon as discovering the trailer: "After watching the trailer, I knew it was going to be good, but I never thought it would be that good. I was blown away" (Stephanie, 36). Marty (45), a fan already familiar to Chet Holmes's projects, came in from Arizona exclusively for this unique play: "Outstanding. My wife and I flew in from Arizona because I've heard of the author, and knew he has high standards, but this blew me away. My wife was moved to tears as well". The younger crowd felt close to Emilys' Song, Ali (16) declaring: "I loved Wicked, but this is ten times better than Wicked, which was my favorite play until this". Some liked it in such a way, they saw it over and over again: "This is my second time and I'm begging my mother to go again. The music was fantastic and the story was amazing!" (Nicole, 13).

Then again exactly what made this production so alluring? Some disclose that it was just the resemblances with real life tales in which the viewers found themselves. Others accept that the breathtaking voices transposed authentic sensations, normal joy and happiness, natural thoughts, giving life to their composed personas. Indeed, everybody concurs that this is a play, which L.A. won't forget that easily.

Emilys Song ran through February at Hudson Backstage Theatre.
