Once you get them together, they disappear from the block, and new ones appear. The idea of the game is to get your block cleared completely and this has been kept same in bejeweled online too.

Now talking about the different scenarios that are available, there is a normal mode; there is action mode in addition to the different backgrounds that are available. The action mode is all about time management. Every time you clear a line, additional time is added to your status bar. Therefore, you would require to keep on clearing the jewels to keep yourself in game. Since the first version of bejeweled online was released in 2001, due to the extra ordinary response that it got, another improved version of it was launched in the year 2004, which was named Bejeweled 2. Like the first one, this one too became a hit among the online gaming community.
