This usually happens because the amount of estrogen in the body increases in comparison to the testosterone that we have. So in turn, this increase in prostate cells enlarge the gland and eventually takes aim on the urethra. Hence, urinary problems.

In addition to that, an enlarged prostate can also be caused by what you eat. If you love spicy food and carbonated drinks, you should avoid them soon as these are proven to be causes of the enlargement. Plus you can add red meat to that list too. So if you are already 40 and above, limit your intake of it to avoid having this.

Taking Vitamin E supplements and selenium will be of great help to someone who wants to reduce the risk of getting this.
