Euro-parliamentary 2009

Battle of Europe is closing but not here and now, Romania has to actively participate in EU decisions, and for this we need as many representatives of our country in European decision-making structures. We talked in this campaign about the need for a portfolio consistent representative of Romania in the forthcoming committee positions and influence to the Euro-parliamentarians and PSD Romanian Euro-parliamentarians in management structures of the European Parliament. Achieving this goal - winning a real influence in Romania Europe - is a primary objective for the PSD and, dare I say, for the entire Romanian political class. (1)

Elections Today we require at a worrisome finding: the turnout was extremely low and this shows that Romanians are growing increasingly unhappy and disappointed by how to do politics in recent years. Senate President, PSD leader Mircea Geoana, announced that they withdraw from CSAT, citing that he did not use a positive image for the Army and partisan election by President Basescu, referring to "electoral activities" of the Head of State in the last days . (2)

"Stay committed for such interest and not take part in any way with the use of electoral institutions for the foundation of the Romanian state, as the Army and the Church," said Geoana.

Liberal Party says that the expansion composition CSAT - authority of executive power - by including the Senate president, along with representatives of institutions and structures of power from the Executive responsible for defense and national security, violates the principle of separation and balance of powers in the state.
