Ease of use and convenience are reasons why bikes remain favorites after many years. There is very little skill required to use one and not much of a learning period. You just need a timer and a speedometer or load meter to get better results at this... Better still, vary the speed of pumping every few seconds for the entire time you pedal for a constantly variable ride that is more interesting and a better results producer. What you get in effect is a circuit training effect with more calories and fat burned in a given time and less boredom.
