Exercise Is A Key Ingredient To A Good Nights Sleep

A good nights sleep is in proportion to the amount of exercise you get during the day. The more active you are and the more exercise you do means it's more likely to help in falling asleep faster at night. You'll notice that your quality of sleep is improved and the transition between the cycles and phases of sleep will become smoother and more consistant with regular exercise. Exercise and being physically fitter helps with stress and the everyday problems of life.


You should try and increase your physical activity during the day. Our aim is to reduce our enegy levels at night time by getting enough exercise and physical activity during the day. Your body requires a certain amount of physical activity in order to keep functioning in a healthy manner, also it is important to realise that three to four hours before you go to bed is not a good time to exercise.

The ideal exercise time is in the late afternoon or early evening. You want to make sure you expend your physical energy long before it is time for your body to rest and ready itself for sleep. You should attempt to exercise at least three or four times a week for a period of 30 minutes or so. Keep it simple, like walking. If you prefer, you can include strenuous activities such as running as well.

Lung capacity is a good test on how fit you are, so the object is to increase your heart rate to strengthen your lungs. By increasing your physical activity during the day your health and emotional wellbeing will improve greatly. Increase your level of physical activity during your day to day life, walking and running are two of many activities you could include. If you are battling not sleeping, you'll find aerobic exercise to be the best. Aerobic exercise comes in many forms for you to choose from. The activities include running, biking, using a treadmill, dancing, and jumping rope. This increases the amount of oxygen to your blood stream which is is one of your objectives when exercising.

Yoga is an exercise that has a stimulatory effect on your nervous system, especially the brain. Yoga utilizes breathing techniques and yoga postures to increase the blood circulation to the brain, promoting regular and restful sleeping patterns. Practicing Yoga is a great way to reduce the tension and stresses of everyday life and helping you to relax.

Tai Chi is an ancient art of breathing and movement that was developed by the Chinese monks. Slow and precise movements are used, which is an advantage if you suffer from joint pains and can not do more energetic aerobic exercises. Research has shown that Tai Chi exercise can help with insomnia by promoting relaxation.

Not everyone can exercise regularly so if you're finding it difficulty, just add brief exercises into your daily routine. Whenever possible, you should take the stairs instead of the elevator, as little things like that will do wonders for your body. You should also park your car around the corner and walk that extra block or two to get to your destination. As you now know, there are many small things you can do to increase the activity in your life. A healthy and well balanced lifestyle is your main objective affording you plenty of sleep.
