Exercise Routine - How To Build Muscle Quickly

The question of how to build up muscle quickly often comes from those interested in taking up bodybuilding of some sort in order to bulk up or to slim down and tone up. If you are asking how to build up muscle quickly though, then the chances are that you want to improve your overall physique and enjoy the benefits of feeling fit, healthy and confident but are perhaps underestimating the time and commitment it will require.

Learning the theory of how to build up muscle is fairly simple. But putting into practice will require long term commitment to the regime. Here is the basic formula though!

- Devise a weight listing and muscle stressing based exercise regime that sees you exercising every other day (allowing a day in between for the muscles to repair themselves). Each day you work out should be targeting a different muscle group in a different area of your body in order to maximise the use of the sessions and to give you muscles the optimum time to recover in between sessions.

- Avoid fats, junk food and white processed foods from your diet. They make you feel lethargic and such foods are not conducive to building muscle.

- Increase your protein intake. Do so by eating more high protein foods such as egg, milk, beans, pulses, seeds and nuts.

- Increase your complex carbohydrate intake from wholemeal foods such as oatmeal and wholegrain toast or bread.

All in all, it depends largely on your commitment to achieving the results you so desire. If you are prepared to put the time and self motivation and determination into it, you can be successful in building the muscle bulk you want. How to build muscle quickly, however, is a question that can only be answered by saying that is cannot happen quickly. This is a long term change.
