Facts About Kimkins Low Carb Diet Plan
The testimonials praising the effectiveness of the Kimkins method for losing weight number in the hundreds, and the advertising claims look glowing indeed. But one is motivated to wonder whether the Kimkins diet program is safe. Could it be bad to follow the weight loss advice she promotes? In essence, the Kimkins diet is a more radical version of the old Doctor Atkins Diet Revolution. He advocated eating so few carbohydrates that the body would go into a state of ketosis and fat would be burned. Atkins said that people could eat as much fat as they wanted, as long as they stayed away from carbs. Kimkins is even stricter, saying that only low fat foods should be consumed, along with cutting out carbs. Alcohol is also forbidden completely, which differs from Atkins' more relaxed approach. The Kimkins diet meal plan seems, on the surface, to be sensible. On her web site any visitor may have access to free information in the form of her newsletters, which include recipes and tips on health, nutrition and exercise. On the topic of exercise, however, Kimkins seems to be of two minds. On one hand, their promotional material states that exercise is not necessary to lose weight. But, on the other hand, one of the free tools available to website visitors is an exercise calculator that allows them to see the benefits on their weight loss progress if they perform various kinds of exercise. For example, if a person who weighs 200 pounds does 60 minutes of cross country hiking, it will result in the burning of 545 calories, while an hour of bowling will only burn up 273 calories. Inevitably, there will be critics of the diet program who say Kimkins is bad, or even dangerous. A cursory search on the internet will result in the finding of claims that Kimmer is being deceptive by passing off photos of other women as herself, but the source of these anonymous criticisms may be disgruntled former employees or malicious pranksters. Certainly the overwhelming balance of information available online suggests that large numbers of people have successfully lost, or are currently losing weight quickly and easily by using the Kimkins diet meal plan. With other diets, such as South Beach, L.A. weight loss, Jenny Craig, Atkins, Weight Watchers and Nutrisystems costing as much as $3900, the relatively small investment of a one-time $59 fee seems to make it easy to give the Kimkins diet a try.
