Fat Acceptance - Is Societ Creating More Fat People Because Of Their Non Acceptance Of Fat People

If you are somewhat bigger than most people, chances are that you do not really have a weight problem as such. Many people are a bit bigger built and are naturally more cuddly than others. Attempting to shed some weight on your life-size frame may possibly end up doing you more harm than good for your body, because you can upset the your body's natural balance. More often than not; because of the fact that you want to be accepted as you are, emotional and social stresses of discrimination in society against fat people make things even worse.

As result ofthis lack of overweight acceptance in society these pressures even start contributing to being overweight because naturally born heavier people may start over-eating for comfort. This ends up being serious conditions that MUST now be addressed whereas initially naturally big people DID NOT really have a dilemma. Overweight people are not accepted as being "normal", and the amount of pressure from health industries, in the media and advertising, socially, and even discrimination in the workplace against fat people has become a huge epidemic in society. The lack of support for heavy people and the lack of admission that some people are naturally heavier than others is more than likely the reason that naturally heavy people under these pressures end up being obese, and this now becomes a problem that has to be tended to whereas initially they did not really have a weight problem as such.


Fat for Life

You probably never had an issue with your weight even though you were a lot bigger than most people since childhood days. Most people probably accept the way they are without question it but at some time or another they will most likely start noticing that they are being picked on more than others for some or other reason. Sadly this can begin in early school days where heavier children are the target of teasing and snide remarks which can really be painful and even cause psychological long term damage. The lack of fat acceptance as early as this can also culminate in diseases such as anorexia and bulimia because of the self loathing they feel for body. The self-acceptance about the way you are now turns into you being keenly aware that you are heftier than others. In your efforts to cut down on your weight you may begin pursuing all sorts of diets, supplements and eating programs that all end up adding to the unhappinessmisery, all for the sake of fitting in. In the quest for fat acceptance you can end up becoming ill or instead give up all-together and start over-eating for comfort or even in anger.

Even though medically speaking being grossly overweight is detrimental; attempting to lose weight if you do not really need to, can do just as much harm. If you are a certain weight, even being round around the edges, but have stopped gaining weight, then your body may have reached the natural balance according to your frame and constitution. If you are in healthy, then rather acknowledge the fact that you are naturally big. Bowing down to social pressures to {{{cut down|lose weight|slim down} can harm your good health and your once happy life will be one of misery pursuing every weight loss diet on the market.

Join a Fat Community

There are many social groups online,but there are very few that cater for round and cuddly without {{{pressurizing them|putting pressure on them}} somehow lose weight. However, a little research could help you find a group where you will be accepted just as you are. Fat acceptance groups will make you feel at home and allow you to interact with others that have accepted who they are. This interaction could help you lead a full balanced life and you couldl even find a soulmate that will love you because of your great personality and because there is a whole lot more of you to love!.
