Father Of The Bride Wedding Speech - It's Her Biggest Day, Your Most Nervous

Your baby girl is getting married. You are very happy for her, but you’re also incredibly nervous about her future. To make it even worse, you need to give a speech at the wedding. Speaking in public is always rough, and when that is combined with the realization that your daughter has truly grown up and is moving on to make a life of her own, you probably have trouble speaking at all, let alone delivering a memorable speech. However, it doesn’t have to be so bad.

When you are writing your speech, just think about all the things you love about your daughter. Let everyone know about the things she did growing up that captivated you so much. Share a slightly embarrassing story or two. Nothing to make her angry, but a quick blush wins hearts. Just remember that while everyone in the room is expecting you do deliver a great speech, they also want you to. They’re all supporting you.

Try to stay calm both when writing the speech and delivering it. You’ve known your daughter her whole life, so you have plenty to talk about. Talk about the groom as well. Let everyone know what he has done to make you trust him enough to give him your daughter’s hand.

Your daughter’s wedding is a huge deal, not just for her, but for you as well. Just remember to stay calm and keep your nerves. You will be fine as long as you don’t let your nerves get the better of you.
