Feel Sad? Talk About It

Ever woke up one morning, and just felt sad, without really knowing why? Or maybe something terrible happened in your life, such as the death of a family member, which left you completely depressed? The hard truth is that, no matter what issues you currently have or difficulties you may be currently undergoing, over 95% of people will keep their problems to themselves. Believe it or not, sometimes just talking about it with someone WILL instantly makes you feel better.

I've seen it happen a countless number of times, where a small incident, such as your best friend not calling you for one day or believing that you no longer attract your boyfriend/girlfriend, develops into more serious problems, such as a lower self esteem, chronic depression, depersonalization, and a whole range of other psychological disorders overtime, if the problem is not dealt with.

Most people don't understand the power of actually talking, or writing about their problems. I just cannot stress enough how important this is. You must not keep your problems to yourself! Very often, as you're talking about whatever it is that's bothering you with the listener, you will come up with the best solution to the problem yourself, before the other person even gets to open his mouth. That's how powerful talking is. Now however, with the incarnation of the internet, you can even do it completely anonymously. For example, if there's no one in your life that you feel very close to, there are websites like KissMyBooBoo.net and answers.yahoo.com that actually allows you to share your thoughts with others, ask any question, in the case of answers.yahoo and answerbag, or write down why you' re currently feeling down, in the case of kissmybooboo. So really, there are no longer any reasons to keep your problems to yourself anymore.

So, the next time you feel sad, you have 2 options. 1. Talk to it in person about someone in your life that cares about you. 2. Visit one of the websites below anonymously, write down what happened, and wait for other members to post feedback about your question/complaint. And don't forget, keeping your problems to yourself is like refusing to do surgery to remove a knife inside of you.
