As you should already know, Ferarri is licensed and ready to be included in Polyphony’s Gran Turismo 5, which is set to be released sometime around the end of 2009 or early 2010. But where are Porsche and Lamborghini? Since the release of the first Gran Turismo skeptics have slammed GT for not including these wonderful supercar makers in the game. GT5 seems to be the perfect opportunity to include these cars.
Nothing has been confirmed about Porsche or Lamborghini, however, there have been video’s on YouTube and on Gran Turismo TV showing Porsche’s and Lamborghini’s racing with other Gran Turismo cars. Could this be a hint for something great to come in GT5? No, not really. If you remember, video’s, trailers, and other things associated with Gran Turismo 4 showed these cars also, but none of them ever made it into the game. You may see a video or picture of Porsche’s with “Gran Turismo” stickers on it but that means nothing because it is only advertising on the car, or fake. So do not be fooled when someone shows you a screenshot of a Lambo with Gran Turismo stickers on it and says that it will be in the game.
So what is our final thought about the big supercar makers being included in the game? Well we think Porsche and Lamborghini will be in the game. Why? Well, we base this conclusion on our own opinions. We think Polyphony is keeping everything a secret until later. I guess we will just have to see!
