Finally It’s Not A Razr!
The A810 is a touch screen smart phone aimed at the European and Asian markets. The details released so far are a little rough so apologies for the not so accurate details! It measures approximately 100 x 50 x 13mm and it looks like it has a 2.2” QVGA display screen. This is around the same size as the HTC Touch but with a smaller, narrower screen. It features a 2 mega pixel camera, FM radio, 3.5mm headphone socket, microSD expandable memory, and Bluetooth. The front fascia is a very minimal design with just a call key, end key and a navigational joystick. The fascia seems to be in a textured material. There is a volume key on one side of the handset and a camera key and screen lock slider on the other side of the handset. The smart phone includes the Linxus based operating system, and the touch screen is controlled by a stylus. The handset supports handwriting recognition as well as featuring an on screen keyboard. Here’s hoping that the A810 can help to revive Motorola’s fortunes. It doesn’t compete well against other touch screen mobile phones that have been recently released, as it lacks GPS, WiFi and 3G, but Motorola are working on a more impressive mobile phone with Kodak on a 5 mega pixel camera. Could this be the start of a new range and Motorola’s come back.
