Find An Alternative To Animal Print In Apparel And Shoes

In recent years, animal print has become somewhat of a staple for a number of women’s wardrobes. Animal print can be a perfect accessory for a woman’s outfit, and may help her to complete her collection of apparel and shoes. However, currently animal print is being overused and overworked. Although an animal print can be a striking trend for the season, here are a few areas where it can be overdone:

1) It’s everywhere. As animal print is in fashion, it is to be expected that women will want to wear it. However, it’s hard to feel unique and stylish when practically everyone else is wearing something that looks so similar to your outfit. For instance, two pieces of apparel made completely different, with different cuts and fabrics will instantly look very similar if they both have an animal print.

2) When different animal prints are mixed. Seriously! Leopard print should not exist in the same outfit as zebra print. It’s understandable that women want to keep “up to date” with this trend and feel that they are in style. However, there are boundaries that should be set as to how much animal print is too much, and what should be mixed. Just as you would not mix polka dots with stripes, you should not be mixing different animal prints with one another.

3) When used throughout a whole outfit. Animal print is like denim, it should be used sparingly in an outfit. The days of three piece denim outfits are long gone, as should be the days where it is okay to wear multiple matching pieces of animal print. Women who wear an animal print dress, shoes and matching bag run the risk of looking like the actual animal, which I’m sure is not the desired effect. Put simply, animal print is most stylish when it is subtle and used sparingly in apparel and shoes.

Conclusively, although animal print does have its positives; it is also overused in women’s apparel and shoes, and women do need an alternative to animal prints in their wardrobe.
