Cycling certainly can be an expensive hobby especially if you are putting a lot of mileage on your bike. Like everything when it gets used a lot or isn’t cared for properly it wears out. The good news is that most bike parts can be replaced and then you’re back on the road again. The other thing that is fortunate is there are still some cheap bike parts available that will give you dependable performance.

There are some questions here though that plays into the overall availability of bike parts.

At the same time if you are looking for original equipment parts you are going to have a much harder time finding them and will have to pay the piper.

Now if you are just trying to pimp your ride the sky is the limit here. Typically you are not going to be looking for original equipment and you will have the freedom to buy and do what inspires and trills you to spruce up and show off your ride.

To find the right parts for your bike online or off you will need to know some information about your bike. Like the age and make of your bike as well as the size of the frame and the wheels. This should be some fairly basic stuff but if you’re dealing with a vintage bike it may not be that easy. But through research and with a little effort you should be able to figure these things out.

Fixing and maintaining your bike with cheap bike parts is a lot of fun if you look at the search as part of the project. It may take you some time but that path of discovery and finding that special part is extremely exciting when it all comes together.
