Five Indications That Your Boyfriend Is Married

A conversation I overheard at work caught my attention. One of the ladies in the office was sharing with another she suspected her new boyfriend could be married. They were trying to figure out what signs would give him away as a married man.

Here's what they came up with:

1) He makes excuses not to see you and the excuses don't always make sense. "Betty," my co-worker, mentioned her boyfriend said he couldn't see her last Saturday due to the fact he was going to Houston on for his company. When she saw him on Tuesday, she asked him how the trip had been and he seemed mixed up for a moment until he remembered his story.

2) There are places he won't take you. My co-worker explained that she suggested they meet for their date at a certain restaurant in town and he adamantly refused, but suggested another night spot. She said he became flustered and his refusal to meet at the first place was all out of proportion to what she would have expected.

3) His cell phone rings and when he looks to see who is calling he says it's nobody. "Jenny," the friend, mentioned this happened to her. The man she was seeing did this a number of times. It turned out he wasn't married but he was engaged to another woman.

4) His house is "too messy," "too far," "too something" for you to visit. One of them stated she suggested on a few occasions that she fix him dinner at his home and he constantly had a reason why it was a bad idea.

5) Anything doesn't really feel right. Both women agreed that they could tell some thing was wrong. They were suspicious but they weren't sure what to do about it. They concluded talking to close friends was the best plan.

I will need to make a confession here. As much as I love and respect ladies, some things they do drive me nuts. One of those things is believing that all complications may be solved by talking to friends. Ladies have extensive support systems and that's great, but often you will discover real steps that can be taken to solve a problem. Most of our own difficulties are self induced. It is true, but we continue on causing our very own troubles even when there are good steps we can take to fix them.
