Five Ingredients You Must Have To Succeed In The Affiliate Marketing Jungle
Picture this, if the very notion of being a luxuriated passenger being pampered with untold luxuries whilst travelling on a Cruise Ship Liner around the World, visiting those far off exotic places is a wonderful thought, then steering your own paddle steamer in the choppy waters of affiliate marketing is a very different kettle of fish…
By kettle of fish I mean extremely different, so different that you can only imagine how it can be so if you have travelled this journey as I have. Please let me share with you my own particular journey and the ingredients I think you will need.
You need many personal qualities to become an Ace at affiliate marketing but in this particular article I will write about five of the most important qualities that you will need.
Firstly, before I start, Affiliate Marketing is a fantastic business to run. For a start you are your own Boss, no more being shouted at, being undervalued and taken for granted. If you’re currently a manager then there are no staff issues, people phoning up sick, taking time off generally and leaving you to fill in for them.
There’s also no set timetable, you set your own agenda and manage your own time. Isn’t that great?
So what are the five things you will need in your own Five Spice Magical Powder that you’ll need to sprinkle onto your business to bring it alive? Your own Stardust Ingredients in fact are:
Ingredient 1 – You will need the good grace to listen, listen and then listen some more.
From your listening, which is different to just hearing something, you will learn many things about Affiliate Marketing and it helps if you love to learn.
Love to be trained and then be coached in the skills. Do not be arrogant, be humble and learn from the Masters.
The Masters are everywhere, it pays to listen to all of them, and different people do react differently to other people, so you may learn more from some, than others.
And remember to take care, it’s a jungle out there and you will need the good advice of the Masters to help you to not get lost. Follow in their footsteps and you will find it an easier journey to travel in the Affiliate Marketing Jungle.
Ingredient 2 – You need the time to use Ingredient 1, so give yourself time and you must apply yourself 100% to the task ahead, really put in the effort like all these Sports Superstars that practice and practise to become perfect.
Ingredient 3 – Steely determination to succeed is the next ingredient, say to yourself over and over again “I will succeed, I will succeed, and I will succeed” and guess what, you’ll probably succeed better than you ever imagined.
Ingredient 4 – This is perhaps the hardest ingredient to master, the one of Self Discipline. Affiliate Marketing is like any other business, it has its own criteria and business plan. Follow the plan, and a plan is what you’ll definitely need, and if you believe in that plan, keep to it and you’ll succeed.
If you don’t have a plan, then guess what you’ll fail before you even start.
Ingredient 5 – The Glass is Half Full.
A positive mental attitude (PMA) is essential, what I mean by that is say not “the glass is half empty” but rather say, and believe, that “the glass is half full”.
The difference in those two statements explains PMA better than anything else I know. Another way to say this is to have a Can Do attitude.
Now there are other technical articles out there on the technical aspects of Affiliate Marketing, some written by me, but first things first…
The above article will ensure that your brain is wired right to learn all that there is before you.
Until the next time, thanks for reading and Good Luck in your Affiliate Marketing journey
