Five Items To Register For When You Are Having A Baby
To get those things you'll best need, you'll want to register. Then, all you have to do is tell your friends where you're registered, and with a short trip to the right shop, they'll know exactly what to get! And what should they get, after all? What are those things you really need for your bundle of joy? How about the top five things to register for when you are having a baby? We're in Chicago, so we'll talk about things in Chicago. Baby boutiques in Chicago, baby clothes in Chicago, and just Chicago baby stores all together. If you're in Milwaukee or Phoenix, or even Tokyo, Japan, chances are you'll find about the same. After all, a baby is a baby is a baby, the whole world 'round. In Chicago, or in Milwaukee, Phoenix, or Tokyo, we recommend the following items as top picks. Oh, by the way, we speak from experience. We've been there and done that! Ok, more than once. So here goes, with our list of the top five things to register for when you are having a baby. Of course you will need clothes for your baby. Baby clothes are cute, handy, and cheap, and the gals (and guys!) can buy lots for just a little. Onesies, sleepers, and socks. You'll need lots, and even for several months as the baby grows through stages but stays in baby sizes. In cold climes, like Chicago, you'll also want a sweater or two to keep him or her snug. Babies need baths, and you'll need bathing paraphernalia to accommodate. A tub, some towels, and some itty-bitty washcloths will fit the bill nicely. That's a few bucks worth of stuff, so it's affordable, too. Heck, the big spender can outfit the whole baby bathroom and still keep it cheap. Feeding the baby will be quite the consuming endeavor, and to tackle it you'll need equipment. Ask for it and maybe you'll just receive it! If you'll be breast feeding, you'll need a pump, storage items, and probably a carrying case. If you'll just be bottle feeding, you will, obviously, need bottles. Also nipples, a brush, and even a few cans of the right formula. Put 'em on your list! It can't hurt. So that's more than five items, but actually there are many more than just five you will need and want. Maybe we'll start you on your own list anyway, and get you into planning mode, where you really need to be. By the way, if you are in Chicago, too, we'll offer a few local features based on our own experience. Needless to say, there are lots of baby boutiques in Chicago, and we've been to more than a few. They've got everything you might need or want, and they are easy to find. Yellow Pages or Internet, those are great places to look. Chicago baby stores are plentiful, too, and we've had great luck with all we have visited. As for baby clothes in Chicago, the only real question to ask is when will the baby arrive? If in summer, keep it light, and don't even think about winter clothes just yet, as by winter the baby will be sizes larger. If in winter, well, you'll need the heavy stuff, and lots of it. Light clothes probably will not even be worn, so don't bother.
