Five Requirements Of Credit Repair Services

The credit repair business will be profitable in any econometric climate. Take for example the current recession - during this recession, while many other businesses have struggled to survive, the credit repair business has thrived. American society depends heavily on credit to fuel the economy.

In the USA, more than 78 percent of people struggle with their finances, which negatively affects their credit score and credit worthiness. Should it surprise anyone that the credit repair business is one of the top choices for home business enthusiasts?

But the high demand for repairing credit is not the only advantage with this business. The capital required is very little, personal rewards are high, it's an outstanding means to make money and marketing expenses are low to nil, as word-of-mouth recommendations are adequate. Alright then, let's get started!

Step 1
Starting out, you'll need to have your client procure copies of his credit reports (one from each of the major credit bureaus). Use any of these methods: Visit www.annualcreditreport.com or call 877-322-8228. Alternatively search the Internet for "free credit report"; you'll have thousands of choices. This is the most important step, the reason being that anywhere from a third to 90 percent of credit reports contain mistakes. And these mistakes are far too often the reason for a low credit score. As a credit repair business you should know how to instruct your client to get these free reports, and know how to read them.

Step 2
Go through the documents very carefully and identify all the information that is entered wrongly. Pay close attention to unpaid loans that might not be your client's as this could indicate identity theft. Don't be surprised if the amounts in this case are not terribly high, since this may be done to avoid raising suspicion. While the thieves make money, the victim is left with negative entries and a bad credit score.

Step 3
Send dispute letters for the mistakes identified. If you find anything that points to identity theft, report the matter to the police; it will also absolve your client from responsibility to a certain extent. You credit repair business will prosper in proportion to your success in dealing with the credit bureaus on behalf of your client. Most people come to a credit repair business because the whole process of fixing their credit seems daunting and intimidating. Therefore, in order to be sought after you must make your number one priority to act in the best interest of your clients. Make no mistake; this is THE key to the success of your business.

Step 4
Get a hold of a good credit repair software to streamline your work and save you time. Work as efficiently as possible, as the more effectively you use your time, the more clients you can serve and the higher your profits will be. But don't rely only on your software; you must "marry" your software speed and efficiency, with the intelligent judgment that can only come from a human being.

Step 5
Promote your credit repair business vigorously. Offer freebies to potential clients, as a means of generating interest in your business - for example, useful information, free consultations, free credit report analysis, and so on. It's not difficult to establish your credit repair business and make money, provided you keep the interest of your client as the most important aspect of the business.

A good way to start is by helping people you already know. And make sure you do the best job possible for them! They will reward you with recommendations to others and endless leads. In order to kick start your business offer a limited time discount; and make sure your to give your best effort, so those that take you up on your offer will send you more business through referrals. It bears repeating that your business will be the most profitable if you do all you can to make sure your clients are happy. The success of your business will fall into place. And lastly, do not charge unaffordable fees, make promises on which you cannot deliver, or be tempted to use illegal means, however tempting and profitable that may seem to be.
