Fix The Golf Slice - The Key You Must Follow To Cure A Slice
The foremost key that we will target in order to correct the golf slice is proper swing path. Because your golf swing is circular, that is, the club head begins behind our head, swings around the body and finally ends up behind our head, you may be thinking it physically not possible to not impart spin on a ball. But at the point of contact tend not to think circular. Let me explain. When looking down on the ball, picture the ball moving in flight. For the right handed golfer, in the event the ball is rotating in a clockwise direction the golf ball will slice, or move in the direction toward which the ball is spinning. Naturally, for the left handed golfer the opposite maintains. The aim to fix the golf slice is to eliminate this spin. How can we accomplish this? If, by looking straight down at the ball, we were to imagine it as a clock with twelve o’clock being the direction we wish the ball to go, if we were to make primary contact on the golf ball at seven o’clock and striking through the ball to the one o’clock position, we would impart hardly any spin on the ball, and as a consequence giving the ball a straight flight, or possibly a counter clockwise, or hook spin. Now of course this would not be hard if not for the fact that we're swinging, to some extent, around our body in somewhat in a circular motion. So right before impact and just following, we must think of the club taking an almost inside out path. This may not be as complicated as it seems. To fix the golf slice, practice doing a pair of things to accomplish this: 1. Close the stance slightly. Put another way, ensure that the front foot is somewhat nearer to the ball than the back foot. 2. Position the golf ball farther back in your stance. Many of us have the temptation to move the ball forward, often even past our front foot, making it nearly impossible to reach that “one o’clock” position on the golf ball. Consistently staying with those two swing keys will do wonders for the fix the golf slice. Of course some practice to fine-tune those techniques for your swing will be necessary.
