Faro is one of those places that somehow manages the effortless co- existence of a modern and fresh atmosphere while still maintaining it’s quaint older elements in a way that when there, you feel as though you could have gone back in time.

Apart from the usual fashion stores you can find some real bargains in the heart of Faro in Rua Santo Antonio and the Rua Francisco Gomes. Here you will be able to browse some traditional Portuguese wares such as handcrafted bags, ceramics and clothing. You will be surprised just how well the locals manage to combine modern fashion with the traditional styles of the country. The perfect way to become a trendsetter!

Due to Faro not being far away from the rural parts of Portugal you can easily combine a city break with day trips to the more conventional parts of the country.
