Forget Cosmetic Procedures If You Wish To Stay Youthful For Longer
Our modern society is obsessed with looking as youthful as possible regardless of our age. Saggy, baggy bits are nipped and tucked, fat is sucked out, faces are lifted and pulled tight and big, big money is spent on trying to erase the signs of time from our bodies.
These eternal fix up jobs may hide what is happening on the outside but things are still deteriorating on the inside if a proper exercise program is not firmly in place.
The only way to slow the aging process down both on the inside and outside is to ensure that there is enough vigorous movement in one's life to stay healthy.
With so much sitting that we do in our modern lifestyles both at work and in our leisure time unless a big effort is made to get proper exercise our body is deteriorating so much faster that no amount of cosmetic procedures could keep up with it.
The first physical sign of aging happens somewhere around age 30 and is the loss of muscle tissue. This will continue on a steady decline as the years pass if steps are not taken to slow or stop this loss. This loss will be noticed as tasks and activities start to become more difficult to perform. There is little change in body weight or size as accumulated body fat pads and hides the areas of muscle loss.
The second physical marker of the aging process is this increase in body fat and its associated health risks. The third major marker is around 1% bone loss each year.
Weakened, flabby muscles not longer place enough stress on the bones they are attached to so the body has no reason to keep the skeleton strong. Bones shrink and become weaker, more porous, lighter and at greater risk for fracture.
These three conditions, muscle tissue loss, bone loss and increased body fat levels all go together hand in hand to propel you speedily down the down a path of accelerated aging.
The metabolic rate drops, (your fat burning engine fizzles) energy levels plummet, the body hurts from the lack of muscle supporting and protecting joints and bones. You can see how hard it would be to keep looking youthful on the outside with all this happening on the inside. True youthfulness can only be obtained when muscles are kept strong and toned as there is no other way to achieve a firm, lean, shapely body.
Forget the expensive procedures, get yourself started on a strength training exercise program that will rejuvenate all of your body cells stopping the aging process dead in its tracks both on the inside and on the outside.
It is important that the exercise program is set up and monitored by a fitness professional. If you try and wing it alone you will be disappointed with your results. Don't expect major anti aging changes from cardio type exercise eg walking, swimming etc, only strength training exercise will do the job.
This solution to keep you looking youthful is better than any surgery, pill, procedure or treatment and will keep your muscles and bones strong, maintain your body weight, your energy levels high, your metabolism cranking and will disease proof your body.
And what is the price of all of this you may ask? Put some effort into your exercise program and you will hold on to your youthful looks and vitality for years and maybe decades longer that you would without a proper exercise program.
