Four Foods Essential That Will Help With Your Weight Loss Efforts

Just returned from my daily 40 minute walk. While I was walking I was thinking about how hot it was and wondering how many calories I was burning in this heat. Then I remembered learning about a few foods that would help me with my weight loss goals.

Are you aware that you can eat some kinds of food that will actually help with weight loss? I was blown away when I found out about them and thought I should share them with others. No more starving yourself to lose weight which only helps in the short term and soon returns once you start eating again.

I have stopped eating, for a week at a time, to cleanse my body and I did lose quite a bit of weight, however as soon as I started eating again the little weight I dropped came right back on. Now instead of fasting to cleanse the body I use other body cleanse options.

The foods I am going to tell you about don't really have any super fat burning properties, instead your body will need to burn a lot of calories in order to digest them. And I am sure you know the greater number of calories you burn off, the better your weight loss results will be!

I have come to realize that as I age my metabolic rate is slowing faster and faster meaning I should eat differently than I have been for so many years. It's the main reason we start plumping up as we get closer to 40, maybe even earlier for some.

Add the following foods to your diet is a great way to increase your metabolic rate temporarily and eating them regularly will do wonders for you.

Get A Cup of Green Tea: I am not in the habit of drinking tea, I'm a coffee drinker, but I am giving green tea a try just to help my weight loss efforts. But if you are a tea drinker why not switch to green tea and see what it will do for you.

Green tea contains fat burning compounds which can aid in weight loss, plus it has many other beneficial properties. Check out weight loss products and you will find that a lot of them have weight loss supplements with green tea as one ingredient.

Peanut Butter is one of favourites: I never thought of peanut butter being beneficial to weight loss I just eat it because I love it. I have found that I can just use peanut butter on my bread instead of using butter or margarine. I even use peanut butter for a snack as it helps suppress my urge to eat. Plus peanut butter is rich in fibre and protein which will help you with weight loss.

We don't use the brand name peanut butter any more because it's processed too much, instead we get natural peanut butter for a healthier choice.

Almond: My wife got me eating almonds for my health and I like em. Almonds have the good fat for the essential nutrients which is what my body needs for healthy weight loss.

Beans: I like beans and eat them all the time, but I had a bad habit of including them in very fattening foods. Now I use them to help me suppress my hunger and now I lose weight that much faster. They are rich in fibre which helps in hunger suppression.
