Freshly Made Coffee-my Main Love

I’ve always been one for the finer things in life. I love good food and eat out all the time. As a writer for a major national newspaper I get to travel around the country. The diversity of tastes you can find in different states is amazing. What I love to find is something different, a local touch. It’s always a delight when you come across a real local delicacy. I also love good wine and am a bit of a connoisseur of Belgian beers but my main love is something else – it’s coffee, proper, freshly made coffee, and there are so many different varieties you can go a lifetime without trying it all.

Although I’m only home for half the week I have some great gadgets in the kitchen, but one that I didn’t have was an espresso machine. It was a hotel in Austin that gave me the inspiration as there, in the room, was a wonderful Jura espresso machine. The smell did it all for me, the wonderful roast aroma that is so typical of coffee, and the taste was simply glorious, a wonderful mix of blends that made me lust for more. I even went as far as asking the management what the coffee was, but more than anything I knew I had to have a machine at home.

That evening I looked for best home espresso machine reviews on the internet and soon found there is much to choose from. The Jura espresso machine I had seen in the hotel was there, along with many others from the range, while the Gaggia espresso machines range is well known to anyone who loves coffee. I also looked at a selection of Rancilio espresso machine models – excellent machines made to a high standard – but it was the LB2210 single serve machine from the Lavazza espresso machine collection, a really trendy and very stylish design, that took my fancy. It cost me $800 but it is well worth the money and gives me wonderful coffee every time.

The great thing about travelling with my job is that I get to see some great things at little cost. The local people are the ones that interest me, and I love the southern states the most. It’s the mix of cultures and taste, the colours and the sounds that get me. I love the differences between the coast and the country, the mountains and the lakes, and I love the coffee – everywhere I go
