Fund Raising That Puts A Smile On People’s Faces.
If I’m asked at a social or business event ‘What do you do?’ I almost invariably reply ‘I sell teddy bears’ The reaction is almost always the same. The initial look of surprise followed by a smile and the comment ‘Well that’s a bit different’. My point really is that the words ‘teddy bears’ seem to make people smile and if you are looking for a fund raising product for your school or charity then I suggest that you choose one that does just that. The reasons are obvious - you and your staff or volunteers will find it easier to get people to put their hands in their pockets or open their purses if the product on offer makes them smile. The advances in technology has meant that personalisation of teddy bears for organisations can now be a relatively simple and inexpensive exercise depending on what lengths you want to go to. Yes you can import a shipment of several thousand direct from China with your organisation’s logo embroidered onto his feet and if you are a large concern that has the resources to do so terrific. However if you are a smaller more moderate organisation that neither has the resources, time or forward looking action plan that allows you to take this route then there are other options. A number of businesses offer teddy bears that wear white t-shirts and provide the facility to print the school badge or charity’s logo and message onto the t-shirts. Initial orders can be as low as 50 giving smaller schools and charities the opportunity to test them out as a potential fund raiser without risking a significant amount of money as the item price is often below £2. Yes of course the bears are relatively small although there are usually bigger options, but remember what the aim is – to raise money by selling a product that people who buy them will consider as a bit of fun and will make them and you smile! Smile while you are fund raising. END Article Directory: http://www.articledashboard.com Article by B C Saunderson.
