Gain Muscle Mass Without The Risk Of Over Training

A common concept and plan to gain muscle mass fast will sound something like this. Pack on as much lean muscles as you can by over eating and exert your body as much as you can so that they can build on those muscles faster. But do you know by doing that, you might very well leave yourself in a state of over trained? Not only you undo those training effort, you might find yourself gaining a few more undesirable pounds of fats in the process.


How does over training affect your fitness regime? For a start, your nervous system and hormones level will be affected negatively and this will carry on into your metabolism rate as well. When you're in that state, your body does not wished to be worked anymore, and thus you'll be unable to build any kind of muscle in the same muscle group when you do not give it sufficient time to recover themselves.

If you want to find out if you're over training, just listen to the signs your body are sending you. If for no particular reason, you start losing interest in working out, as well as feeling weaker than you did before, or you start losing weight and sleep, you might be in that negative state.

What's advisable to do is to actually stop training for an entire week, and this will give your body ample time to recuperate. Also another telling sign is that you're actually performing worst in the gym than you did last week, if that is the case, you need to determine if your current workout routine is the best for you.

So, practice to be patient. I know it's difficult especially when you're on a row and your hormones are raging, but if you risk over training you're actually risking your entire workout effort. You might even notice that you start losing weight, and not gaining any muscle mass.

Here are some tips to help avoid that.

1. Push yourself, but allow sufficient time to recover - This is especially for weight training, just avoid working out the same group of muscles for two consecutive day is enough for your body to find time to recover.

2. Redesign your training routine - If you're just following without noticing what the training routine is actually doing to your body, you need to stop and look. Evaluate and analyze in terms of your body stats and determine if your current workout routine are actually bringing you closer to your fitness goals or not! Always allocate time to listen to what you body are actually telling you.

3. Eating right - If you do not do this, you'll find yourself going nowhere near those goals that you've set. Find a balance muscle building diet that will give you all the important food your body need during your workout period. Simply put, if you're not eating right, you won't have any platform to build your muscles on in the first place!
