Garden Composting - How To Feed Your Yard For Free!

Composting your hothouse clippings in a well constructed compost heap or a worm composter is a great way to reprocess your nursery garbage. It is easy to generate high temperatures in your compost to break down all forms of natural waste and produce great food or compost for your precious plants. Compost generated this way saves the municpal tip from being overloaded with waste and lowers the cost for the council which in turn reduces the pressure on your rates.

You can even add worms to help convert your waste more quickly. If you do, you must ensure there are cooler portions of the compost heap that the worms can live in whilst the aerobic microbes do their bit in the composting cycle. Remember also that when you use your compost in your , to leave some of the well composted material as starter for your next compost heap - it will contain compost worm egg sacks which will help get your next compost pile working.

If you fabricate a covered or closed compost heap, you can readily dispose of pet waste and meat or bones! Worms love these items and in a short time they will have transformed it all to useful garden food. And for free!
