Get Listed In Google With Three Simple Steps

Having a place on Google means a lot to every site owner. It's a great honor to be included on search engine pages when you know that there are thousands of sites aspiring for a position. On the other hand, why aim for Google? Obviously, this search engine is well established with flourishing records on their resume. Google refers more traffic than any other search engine for almost all Web sites there is. There is no argument about it so it is very important that your site is indexed in Google.

There are sites that have been operating live for almost eight years now but still fail to make it on Google's list. If you are hoping to get your site promoted and eventually found out that you do not have any place on these search engines, you will probably be disappointed. According to statistics, Google claims to index searching 3,307,998,701 web pages as of September 09, 2003. Since this year, time has gone too long for any site to to be included on Google's index right? Unfortunately, some could not afford to make it.

This is extremely surprising knowing that any site has the potential to get a place on the rankings even for just a short two to six months span of time. So how can you guarantee a spot on Google? There are three easy methods to get this job done immediately, but not a hundred percent guaranteed. Some sites are likely to wait for a long period of time, but not that long. These approaches will lessen your efforts and will help you get to the spot that you want.

Here are the steps you should follow:

1. Submit Direct To Google
First and foremost, submit your web site via Google's free submit your site form. Simply register your home page and the Googlebot,Google's crawler, will take care of the rest. Unfortunately, not all URLs submitted are automatically indexed to Google. There is no exact time or notice as to when, or if, your site will be indexed.

2. Go Link Your Site To Another That Google Crawls
Second tip is to get a site that is presently crawled by Google to link to your site Fast. It will find the link to from your site and crawl and index it when Google re-crawls the web site as well. This is Google's priority approach of finding sites to index. To get another site to link to yours, simply look for a site that links to your competitors and ask them a favor to link yours to their site. In exchange, some will have to propose a link back to their site.

3. Submit Your Site To The Yahoo! Directory & The Open Directory Project Index
Last but not the least, submit your web site to the Yahoo! Directory and/or Open Directory Project index, which is owned and managed by Netscape. This is the only guaranteed method of getting into the Google index as far as web marketing history is concern.
