Get Rid Of Man Boobs By Correcting Gynecomastia
Before we go on, please remember that this is not medical advice. Talk to your doctor before treating any medical condition in any way. Okay, let’s continue. Man boobs don’t always indicate Gynecomastia To cover the easy part first, let’s look at PseudoGynecomastia, which is simple chest fat. This would be the diagnosis when no sign of the breast tissue or glandular enlargement is found. Because fat stored in this area can be very stubborn, Lipo surgery may be recommended by some doctors as the easiest and fastest solution. It’s worth remembering, though, that you can get rid of man boobs caused by stored fat with proper nutrition, attention to hormone balance and specific exercises. Hormone balance in this case is mostly about testosterone vs estrogen. We’ll talk more about estrogen and why it’s becoming such a problem in another article, but many of the reasons for this imbalance are diet related. Therefore many of the non-surgical solutions start with your nutrition habits. Gynecomastia itself is not responsive to fat loss efforts, as it’s causing an enlargement of the mammary glands. Even if you did burn off or Lipo out the excess fat, the enlarged glands would remain. This condition affects different people to different degrees. The range of symptoms goes from puffy nipples to ‘bitch tits’, to full-on breasts. In adolescents, symptoms frequently disappear naturally as testosterone increases during and after puberty. For older sufferers, some form of treatment will frequently be necessary. Some common causes Gynecomastia doesn’t just happen. Its onset can be drug induced, resulting from the use of steroids, or excessive use of marijuana or alcohol. A hair loss treatment called Propecia is one of many medications whose side effects include Gynecomastia. Some other causes include: *obesity *tumors *genetic disorders *chronic liver disease *castration (try to avoid this) *Klinefelter Syndrome *Gilbert’s Syndrome *aging It can also be a sign of serious existing conditions including several cancers. So again, consult your doctor before beginning any treatment, since you may have something far more serious to treat! Treatments for man boobs caused by gynecomastia This depends a lot on who you ask. A surgeon would probably tell you the mammary glands need to be removed, which is essentially a mastectomy. There are alternatives to consider first. The first thing to consider is the cause of the disorder. For instance, if it sprang up when you started doing steroids then you should stop doing steroids! Not doing whatever you were doing may be all that’s necessary. Likewise, if it’s occurring as a symptom of another problem then it may resolve itself through treatment for that problem. Another factor to consider is the length of time the gynecomastia has been present. Non surgical approaches are apparently most effective if the condition’s been present for 6 months or less. When all else fails, the most effective therapy at any stage is surgical removal of the glandular tissue. In patients with a large amount of fat in the area, Lipo may be performed at the time of surgery to improve the results. To recap, the first thing to do if you need to get rid of man boobs is determine, with your doctor’s assistance, whether you’re dealing with accumulating fat or a glandular disorder. If it’s the latter, figuring out what’s causing it will help determine the solution. Don’t be too quick to go for surgery, but be aware it could be necessary if all else fails. That should do it for now. I’ll be back soon to look at how nutrition and exercise can keep your testosterone/estrogen balance where it should be to combat simple fat-created man boobs.
