National Parks: Yellowstone and Yosemite are two of the most well known national parks, but there are countless others. Get a change of pace from the beach by spending your summer in places like Bryce or Zion National Park. Yellowstone is also a great option, though you'll have to fight summer crowds. Unique Geographical Areas: While that may sound like a generic term, choosing to vacation in a unique destination is a great choice. What constitutes a unique destination? As with any other option, travel to popular destinations will be the heaviest in the summer.

Find a Quiet Place: Even if you choose to continue going to the same type of vacation destination, you can find options that will offer you variety. For instance, rather than going to Panama City, Florida, choose to go to St Petersburg, instead. You'll find that the area is quiet and somewhat secluded, offering you peace and quiet. If the beach is your think, consider going to an island such as Key West or Georgia's Tybee Island for a change of pace.
