“git & Go” And Metabolism Normalization
We here in U.S. have become addicted to our affluent lifestyles, our busy life schedules and a desire to protect any free moment of time that we can preserve. This leads us away from the older, more traditional home based activities of our parent’s and grandparent’s generation of “good home cookin’” and more towards a day filled with convenient restaurants, fast food and local fast shop meals. We are getting more than our share of fat filled, “git & go”, meals that fill our bellies. We also are caring less and less about fruits, vegetables, or whole grains. It should surprise no one that we have placed ourselves in the position of being both overweight and under nourished at the same time. We have become the epitome of perfection in enabling the obesity cycling. 1. Eat larger portions, of high carbohydrate meals, than your body can “burn”. 2. The body’s pancreas has to produce more insulin in an effort to metabolize the excess sugars from the high carbohydrate level. 3. Being unable to either use the sugars through activity or body functions, the sugars become body fat which is nature’s way of storing excess food for use at a later time. Think of it this way; many animals do this very routine on purpose in preparation for long periods when food is scarce or non-existent. The difference is they actually do go a very long time without eating and the stored fat is used as it is intended, which is to nourish during lean times. The problem for us is that once an otherwise healthy pancreas has to begin constantly playing catch-up to the added sugars, the body starts getting an attitude, so to speak, and wants to resist the added insulin. This forces the pancreas to produce even larger surges of insulin to accomplish its purpose. The system weakens and will eventually break down to where your metabolism stops working efficiently. Now you have reached the point where no amount of exercise or diet, of any name or popularity, is going to work for you. Nature’s own, very efficient and very safe, system of weight management has broken and needs to be repaired. But, there is a way to carry out his “repair” of the insulin resistance and thus your metabolism. The process is called “Metabolism Normalization”. It is a gradual lowering of your body's insulin resistance and enables your metabolism to again start efficiently burning off sugars and body fat. No, it is not a miracle cure or an overnight fix. It is a steady return to a balanced body, to which you will be healthier, feel better and will have lost those unwanted pounds. Metabolism normalization will also help to want to change those old eating habits and commit to the minor, though necessary, changes in your food and physical activity habits. If you are truly ready to commit to developing a healthier lifestyle, including a healthy diet and easy exercise, then you owe it to yourself to look into metabolism normalization.
