Global Resorts Network – Your Web Site

Global Resorts Network systems offer some amazing tools in attracting prospects. Many landing pages (the page where the system sends people looking for information) are highly professional and designed for results.

One major trend in Global Resorts Network (GRN) marketing has been the shift to personal branding. This change in affiliate thinking has meant a return to the personal one-on-one contact that was originally how the industry started. It is no longer “build a web site and they will come”. Successful web sites had something personal for people.

Now some GRN systems allow their members a great deal of flexibility in personal branding. You can put your own message on the site, your own picture, your own audio clip, even your own video. They have made this a simple process so that anyone with a webcam and microphone can do it. This is a great way to get started in personal branding.

But this is only part of the story for successful members. You usually can’t include your affiliate web site address in articles, and sometimes even in comments to social network sites. This limits your ability to personally brand with your system tools.

The successful members avoid this problem by developing their own web sites. This is simple and inexpensive. Most sites are one page, have basic information, and have a link to the affiliate page where the real information starts. Some systems give you the code and instructions on building your own personal page outside this system. It becomes “your” web presence that you can market on your own.

Your personal web site should link to one of your affiliate pages. That’s where your business is. Depending on how you market, the page can be simple – some basic text and the link. Or it can include the opt-in features, your picture, video, and download capabilities. While you can pay a web developer to do this, some affiliates give you the tools so that you can do it yourself in an afternoon. That’s cool.

You can install links to video you put on YouTube or other web sites. Same thing with pictures on Facebook or MySpace. And of course, they all link to your personal branding page. Combined with social networking sites, links from articles, comments on blogs and other articles – you can create your web presence quite quickly. It is also easier to market your own dot com in off-line campaigns – business cards, newspaper, flyers, etc.

GRN members should put some serious thought into getting their own web site set up and running. It can be very important in personal branding and your ability to more creatively market your business.
