Gold Coast Cab Drivers are the first to join up to www.taxidriverforum.com. The Forum was designed by two gold coast drivers who felt the need for an online forum in which drivers could voice their concerns about a variety of issues, including long working hours, lack of sick pay and holiday pay, and the increasing amount of foreign and student drivers.

"We feel that our issues are never listened to by Gold Coast Taxi management" one driver was quoted as saying. "The forum is a great idea, we all finish our shifts at all hours of the day and night, seldom get to chat with regular drivers, I can logon to the forum and see what other drivers issues are and comment or start my own post on issues that i'd like to bring to light" he continues.

Website designer Murray Miers said he was happy with the traffic they were receiving and drivers signing up to the forum was averaging over 10 per day in its first week 'live'. The Forum is divided into all australian states, and then divided again into local areas so drivers can really get the low down on whats important to drivers in their immediate area.

Interest is growing in the forum with New Zealand drivers asking for their own forum, which is then split into two sub-forums, north island and south island forums. Mr Miers said he was very happy with the progress and would install more forums as interest from other countries grows.

Advertising is available on the website to further promote the Gold Coast as Australias best holiday location. Gold Coast Cab Drivers have long needed this forum as a way to unite with cab owners, get more shifts and just discuss issues that hopefully will make the Industry more transparent and provide better customer service.
