Gonorrhea-new Strain May Be Drug Resistant
For quite some time Gonorrhea has been thought of as really no big deal. Essentially with some low-grade antibiotics it was gone with no lasting effects. Just recently however a new strain of this STD has been uncovered and this one unlike its predecessor is one that is drug resistant. One of the biggest concerns is the issue surrounding the spread of this illness as it is one of the most common sexually transmitted diseases in the United States but can take up to 30 days to exhibit symptoms which essentially allows a huge window by which this disease can be passed from one person to the next.
