Good Fish Oils Added To Ones Diet Is A Wise Choice

We all make food choices every day: some are good and others we regret later on. One of the best choices you could make that your body will thank you for is to add good fish oils to your diet. Some good sources include cold-water fatty fish such as sardines, herring, and albacore tuna. Multiple studies have been conducted regarding the health benefits of omega-3 fatty acids that are present in the oil from fish with phenomenal results.

One principal area of the body that needs these essential fatty acids is our heart. The heart requires EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) to maintain proper circulation. They were able to function better due to the anti-inflammatory properties of EPA & DHA. A recent study now indicates that the omega-3 fatty acids found in fish block the proteins that wear down knee cartilage as well as impede the chemicals that bring on inflammation in osteoarthritis. The recommended dosage to see improvement is to eat two servings of cold-water fatty fish per week or consume one gram of an omega-3 fish oil dietary supplement daily.
