I do PPC for a living, but given the latest round of changes in the AdWords venue, I've decided to pick up SEO. After having a copy of the original Snatch given to me, I began putting the practice to use. Shortly after, turns out a second one had been released, so I purchased Google Snatch 2 and decided to give it a go!
About the first half of the e-book is lifted from the first Free Click Formula. Fair enough - I mean we can't assume that everyone's read the first, or would want to purchase both ebooks. The first half is basically like a crashcourse in SEO, and aligning your site with what Google wants - relevancy.
If you're not into "keyword stuffing," then rejoice! Latif's section on SEO is all about keyword relevancy - so instead, you focus on the few places you need to have your chosen keyword, and then using related text to pull a "keyword theme" together. It's definitely a much more natural way of writing content, which also benefits the end user (customer).
From there, the book ventures into the land of Web 2.0. And we're not talking a casual glance, either. Careful time and consideration is spent detailing basically every Web 2.0 property in existence, and how to dominate each. They're fully standalone sections, so don't worry if you don't want to do podcasting or social media, there's still plenty of other options to choose.
So how'd it work out? Well, I made a small website over the weekend. Took the advice mentioned in Google Snatch 2 about how to set everything up, and within 24 hours, my homepage was indexed - nice!
I'm still waiting on my other pages to get indexed (it's been one day since the homepage was indexed), but it should happen soon. In the meantime, I'm already getting traffic for my main keyword, and I've been holding positions 1-3 in the search results (been a little moving here and there).
Overall, I think that's pretty awesome for a brand new site, and am impressed with the results. If you're ready to get serious about internet marketing, or are looking for ways to grow your business brand, it's definitely worth taking a look into what Latif's offering.
