Google Voice Review
When I heard about it, I was at a point in my business where I desired a phone number specifically for business purposes, as an alternative to giving out my private cell phone number to everybody. I didn’t want to add another phone line to my cell phone account, I didn’t intend to invest in a 1-800 number and I certainly wasn’t interested in incurring any other expenses to my monthly budget. So, I wondered how I could acquire a business line with a voicemail box that I could use particularly for business without paying for it. That’s when Google Voice came into my life. I opted in at their website to be added to their waiting list and a few weeks later, I was sent an email letting me know that I was approved to start using the service. The timing couldn’t have been better! I soon learned the power of Google Voice and the various benefits I could acquire from it. With a Google voice number, I get: * One number for all my phones * SMS messages via email * Block unwanted callers * Low cost calling internationally * Conference calling * Screen callers by hearing who is calling before picking up the phone With Google Voicemail, I get: * Transcribed voicemail online * Custom greetings for callers * Forward, embed or download voicemails The best part is I get my voicemail like email, there is call routing, voicemail transcription and more for FREE! What I absolutely LOVE about this is the mobile application for my phone which allows me to call people with my Google Voice number straight from my cell phone! It’s like having a personal phone and a business phone in one – I love it. This makes my business much more mobile and I can return calls from my cell phone and I can choose to conceal my cell phone number with my Google Voice number. In addition, I can embed a Google Voice icon on my website, giving people the option of calling me straight from the web page. Genius! Google is always introducing new ideas to keep us wanting more.
