Government Can't Fix A Problem They Created!!!
Think about it for a minute. If you are a business owner how the hell do plan for anything, with the “geniuses” we have in charge in Government. One day they are raising taxes the next day they are cutting them. Politicians can scare business and the general population into not producing without even really trying. You could send them home for a whole term and the country would run better. Fear and uncertainty created by our government is what hurts us more than anything. Now, the ‘brilliant” folks are proposing a six month payroll tax holiday so to speak. I don’t know about your business but if you’re as cash strapped as most businesses. That money is just going in your pocket. Also what business works on a six month commitment? Great, I can save almost seven percent on payroll taxes. Ok then, let’s say the average worker at a small business makes $500 a week, that’s about thirty five dollars a week in his pay check and the same for me to use hiring someone else. Using that math and logic I would already have to have employed 14.29 folks. Wow, I could commit to someone for a whole six months. Message to guys in Washington; I can barely train an employee to do their job in that amount of time. If you figure the actual cost of training, then I would need almost eighteen current employees to cover the expense of one new most likely temporary, employee. Current employees would love an extra tank of gas or be able to pay a small bill. The only thing a bill like this would do is maybe and I do mean maybe slow down some layoffs. But help the economy? Not in your wildest dreams. Our economy needs long term thinking that provides stability and hope not a band aid on a gapping gunshot wound. We are right where we are today because our ‘trusted” government got into bed with big business and took us all for a ride. Plain and simple, we had the fox guarding the hen house folks. I for one am not surprised that the fox, not only sold the eggs but ate the dang chickens!!! You have the former head of the NASDAQ running an investment fraud right under regulators noses for years. Warning signs are everywhere but no one says a word. There is no telling how he compromised our financial well being in this country. One thing you also need to know is, you don’t move that many BILLIONS around without a lot of help. Both in and out of our government. I guarantee, we will never know who all were involved. My money is on some of our elected officials, how about yours? More great news, the Fed is lowering interest rates again. It’s only news if someone will lend the money to the buying public. It does not matter what the interest rate is if the lenders won’t put the money out on the street!! Lenders are so scared of being hung out to dry by Barney and the gang on the hill they just will not loan money to anyone that is less than perfect. Another note to government; Barney and the guys demanded that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac loan to less qualified borrowers with little or no money down in 1992. Financial Institutions did just that and the gang hung them in public and took no blame for the situation. Oh hell yeah they are the ones going to fix It! Well that’s great; it’s the good ole misdirection play. Let’s prosecute these guys over here and find a whole new bunch of suckers over here to lie to. There is literally TRILLIONS of dollars at stake, so finding another “brilliant” sucker will be no problem, I promise. YES, some of these financial institutions need to be prosecuted and their leaders put in prison for life. But what about the guys who gave them the keys to the farm in the first place? Not only are they getting away free and clear, they are in charge of fixing the problem! Makes me feel warm and fuzzy, how about you? Politicians say solutions aren’t simply, but they really are. If you make something complicated you are almost always doing one of two things. You are either trying to hide or cover-up some previous mistake or malfeasance. Or you have something hidden in the solution for somebody else you want to pay back. Both are common in Washington as well as state government. Do you realize that our Political leaders do things everyday that would get you and I fired in the real world “we” live in? A politicians vote is for sale on almost every bill that is introduced. This is the way it happens; Politician “A” tells Politician “B” that he will vote for his healthcare bill if he intern will vote for a new park or something he is proposing. Well we need the healthcare bill so bad that Politician “B” agrees. Politician “A” just sold his vote and intern bought votes in his own community in the next election. You see Politician “B” has a bill that will stand on it’s on and pass but Politician “A” has a bill that benefits no one but him in a reelection bid, so he needs some leverage or he needs someone to hide it in a good piece of legislation so it will slip through unnoticed. That’s the way it really works in our Government folks. Sounds dishonest don’t it? A rose by any other name is a rose folks! Now let’s say Joe is the purchasing agent for a large company in the good ole United States of America. Joe’s company needs a thousand computers. Well Joe wants a pool at his new home. So Joe tells the salesman of the computers over lunch one day that he would love to give the contract to buy a thousand computers to his company, BUT. The salesman says “what but?” Joe says that he and his wife really might like a pool if it could be tucked into the deal somewhere. The salesman looking at a two MILLION dollar order says that can be arranged. Now the company really needs a thousand computers and the order would be great for any vender to get. There is no way Joe’s company could see the benefit for everyone in him having a pool. So Joe is the only one who will benefit from the pool. Joe has two options; he can go to JAIL or go to Washington D.C. as one of our trusted leaders. It’s clear he understands Politics and has the right mindset for the job. If it was my company, Joe would be “under” the jail! By the way lobbyist work the same way. If we ran a business like the government is run we would be in prison for life.
