Great Moments Come From Great Opportunities

As I look back at my fifty 7 years on this earth and think about the great opportunities that I've had, I've a tough time thinking of them because there haven't been that many. When they came I was either not ready or wasn't trying to find them in the first place, because I thought, I do not deserve to have great opportunities. At least that was what was griddled in my head as a young boy growing up. I was always told that you would never amount to anything. I was told that I could not do it. So I folding up and thought to myself, why even try.

As I was going thru school, I loved sports. Baseball, soccer, and hockey, but the old lady would never let me play football, as she said i was to tiny and I could not play. The same she usually asserted to meI couldn't do it.

There was a teacher at school who spotted me and started to spend a while with me. He saw in me what I could only fantasise about and he encouraged me to go out for sports.

I wasn't a big kid, but I was fast. I could run, and Mr. Hardy saw that. He worked with me and continued to help me to try out for sports. When we'd have our scrimmage games, everybody had a hard time getting to me. I could out run any person.

i did sign up for baseball for one season and I do not remember how the season went but I know that I loved each minute of it. The chums and folks who basically cheered for me and believed that I was very good. I had never heard that before, ever in my full life. I liked that feeling of victory. Unfortunately my folks never came to any of my games.

My best love of all was hockey. Go figure, my mummy would never like me playing soccer but hockey was OK. The reason was because she didn't have a clue what hockey was and she never went to the games. She never saw the cuts and bruises and small shoving matches that we would get into.

Now I'm in network marketing and paving a new road in my life, that is kind of like my adolescence all over again. Lots of folks tell me that I cannot do it. It's a whole new business that I must learn. Not a lot of people give you any support or encouragement. The friendship of my team and others that are on the same road as I'm is where I get my strength, and encouragement. It's what makes you a good leader. As a leader, there are going to be those instances when you will stand alone.

maybe you are on that line also. Brooding about beginning your own business? Thinking about network marketing? Be careful who you listen too. Get the right answers from the right folks, not from people who have no idea what they are talking about.

I would be lying to you if I claimed that I never think of quitting. I think that may be a natural event in every leader, but quitting is never a choice. Quitters never win and winners never quit.

There is the tale of Hernan Cortes who, against all percentages, defeated and brought down the Aztec empire. In one extraordinarily decisive battle, his troops were prepared to start walking away and give up. He ordered all of the ships to be burned so that his men had no other option but to either fight or die.

Where are you? Are you in a decisive position? Is it either fight or die for you? Than stay and fight! Don't hear the doubters and the people that are failing in life themselves. This is your time. You can do it. Now go out there and take it!
