Great Tips On Halloween Costumes For Toddlers

With a little imagination, your toddler's Halloween Party can be a magical and unforgettable event that will create a special memory for both of you. Before letting their fantasy costume-making skills run wild, Moms will do well to consider some practical basics.

Make sure that your little one is able to walk and move around comfortably. No part of the costume should get in the way of their feet so they will not trip and fall. The costume should be reasonably comfortable so that they can enjoy some of their tricks or treats. You also need to ensure there are no loose parts on the costume that can cause a choking hazard.

It will help to remember that nature does call even for little ghosts and princesses; so put them in a costume that is easily removed just in case your child needs to use the potty.

When dressing your toddler for Halloween, it is probably wise to leave the scary costumes to the older children and adults who act like children. A toddler may become frightened at the sight of gruesome skeletons, ugly witches, and slimy monsters.

Little boys will enjoy being dressed-up as Bob the Builder with the chance to wear a tool belt just like some of their daddies do. A check-shirt, jeans, and a play tool-belt will be all you need. Top it off with some little plastic tools and you will have your own little handyman. Spiderman and Superman are always popular choices for boys. After all, toddlers are really the only ones who get away with wearing their underwear over their pants.

If your little boy is already dreaming of an adventurous life as a pirate or a cowboy, you can easily assemble a costume without too much trouble. Ready-made costumes for pirates and cowboys are always available in the costume stores.

Little girls dream of being princesses and fairies, so of course, when it comes to dressing your toddler for Halloween, what would be a better choice. These types of costumes are always popular for girls. Moms get the chance to play with flowers, tinsel, sparkly wands, lots of glitter, cute little crowns and satin shoes, while they reminisce of their own dreams of fairies and princesses.

Fairytale heroin costumes are also a good choice and can be found in many customaries. Your little girl can dress in pretty dresses to look like Snow White, the Little Mermaid or Cinderella and don't forget the glass slippers.
Feeling creative? Well, a really simple costume is to pull out that old forgotten stuffed toy and sew it onto some footy pajamas to make a cuddly animal costume. Alternatively, get an old sheet and some white face-paint so you can transform your little ones into tiny ghosts or even cover the sheet in glitter and make them believe they are a shooting star for the day.

Toddlers look cute no matter how you dress them up, whether you decide it will be as a little monkey, a tiny dragon, or a sweet little bunny. Just use your imagination while keeping their comfort in mind.
